I hope everyone reading this is healthy, happy and finding new ways to enjoy our unexpected down time. At the posting of this blog our office has been closed for over a month due to the COVID-19 restrictions. In that time, we have been answering phones during normal office hours and arranging to help people with service needs in a safe and responsible manner. I am happy to say that we have been able to help every one of our patients who has contacted us with a problem. We will continue to provide “drive-through” service while our office is closed so please do not hesitate to call if you need something (410-224-4327).
An unexpected issue has come up regarding the public safety recommendation to wear face masks. For those of you with behind-the-ear hearing aids, please be very careful when donning and removing a face mask. Most face masks fasten around the ears. As such, it is very easy to pull hearing aids off accidentally when using a face covering. Wearing hearing aids and face masks together is going to be a common practice for at least the next few weeks. Please be careful not to lose your hearing aids while this personal protection is necessary. On the subject of face masks, my wife Melissa has been busy sewing designer masks for our staff.
